Rock Candy + Cake!?

Image
The Geode Cake This is the new craze that is becoming popular! And if you're anything like me, your first thought was 'Geodude......as in Pokémon???' Unfortunately no, but this is even better!! So Jellies, here is what a geode cake is: it's a cake with a chunk randomly cut out (which you can set aside and munch on later), then the hole is filled with colored rock candy (crystalized sugar) from your choosing, to make it look like a geode rock. Now whether it is store bought or homemade, your cake can be almost any flavor or type you want it to be, and the geode cake will work. The few exceptions that it wouldn't work very well would be if it's too crumbly or jelly filled, among other things of that nature. Don't try to spread. This is a mess waiting to happen. Just evenly space globs of the cherries. • Sprinkle the cake mix (not the mixed up version - just the...
